You know this is going to be special from the outset as it starts with its box. Nice detail differences as it’s the Euro-spec 66. Cracking livery application and I’m now waiting for 66794 to arrive!

My old Bachmann Fastline 66 is now redundant and worthless! This 66 is up to the usual AS standards. From a good solid box, to a detailed heavy model capable of hauling whatever you want it to. The livery application is good. Another decent model for a very reasonable and affordable price.

Lovely model that lived up to expectations. The only downside was the pinitially oor running which took some time to sort out . After much running in it became clear that the problem was the wiper blade pick ups not making contact with all the wheels. Once sorted the running has been excellent, but in correcting the issue some of the underframe rodding/piping became detached and is proving very resistant to fixing

Accurate Sound Scape for this small GWR locomotive, combined with Firebox Flicker. Coal load needs some fettling.

Always a pleasure to open a model box from Accurascale. First impressions give you the feeling of it oozing quality. It certainly does and ran sweetly straight out the box. Credit is due for the research put in by Steve Purves and the team to capture the details superbly. Looking forward to further production runs and hopefully a wartime black version.

I recently bought an example of this model by another manufacturer - without sound and with a different number. It was cheaper too but doesn't have sound. A nice model.
But when this little beauty landed it paled into insignificance. Oh crikey - Accurascale has done it again.What a fantastic model this is!
I ran it in straight from the box on Rolling Roads and took the time to enjoy the very fine features of the model. Beautiful, smooth running and perfectly captured and applied LT livery. But it is the model itself that really sets this apart from the competition. Obviously it really captures the marvellous functionality of the prototype design but the detailing of the parts is just exquisite and make the model exceptional. And just watching the mechanism under the pannier tanks it is just so wonderful.
And the sound. I've nothing to compare it to other than watching the prototype but like all Accurascale sound models I have bought so far it is spot on and has enough built in amplification to convincingly make a big impression emerging from a tunnel! Absolutely marvellous.

Another beautiful, detailed model from Accurascale. The cab interior in particular is superb. Very nicely put together, a lovely paintjob, and a very reasonable price. Can't really fault it. I expect these will be a staple of the range and if so I will be adding more examples to my fleet from future production runs.
